George is an experienced and decorated United States Air Force (USAF) veteran of 20+ years.  Started his career as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy and later commissioned in the USAF as a Medical Service Corps Officer. Served in leadership roles and delivered strong results, managed multiple large programs that included the development of The President’s budget, policies, coordination of training, analyzing requirements for the AFMS Corporate Structure, healthcare requirements, and prevention-based healthcare for over 2.6M beneficiaries worldwide. Some of the major programs while in the continental United States include the execution of 220 million dollars’ research and development projects, 1.6 billion dollars for Air Force Medical Service’s (AFMS) Commodity Council centralized contracts, and DoD’s clinics and hospitals deployment of 6 billion dollars informatics program portfolio. George single-handedly prepared a site survey for quality of lifestyle that resulted in the construction of a rubberized track at Edwards Air Force Base, CA.  George authored “Warrior Fitness the Pentagon Way” and conducted baseline fitness tests for the White House Medical Unit. George was later assigned to United States Air Force Europe’s largest hospital as the Group Practice Manager.  He oversaw all clinical business activities supporting 25 clinics with 120 providers and generating 150K annual outpatient visits for 35K beneficiaries.  He was key to the hospital winning 2009, 2010 & 2011 Air Force Surgeon General Best Hospital of the year.  George deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan and Southwest Asia in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, was instrumental in the coordination of the medical support for Afghan presidential elections, spearheaded and executed 4 Humanitarian Assistance Missions.

George is currently serving as the Management and Program Analyst, Office of the Electronic Health Records Modernization (OEHRM), Department of Veterans Affairs, Washington, DC. George supports the overall implementation of the new Electronic Health Record (EHR) and the overall OEHRM objectives. Works in collaboration with all members of the Deployment and Change Management teams across the continental United States to support the successful implementation of the EHR. Provides guidance and acts as a program liaison to On-Site Deployment teams, site leadership, and OEHRM.

George is married to Winnie and they have two children, Nicole and Justin
